Welcome to the world of Jengachenga Rhodesian Ridgebacks. We are Kate, Gavin & Jennifer Lowson. We live in the West of Scotland and are addicted to this unique breed. So much to update........will try to tell all the news.....unfortunately struggling to upload new photos so Cookie shots to follow......

In the show rings the Jengachenga clan have continued to have much success....wins include Challenge Certificate awarded to Jengachenga Atsama for Imanje at Midland Counties Champ show in Oct. This was followed by brother Jengachenga Akili being awarded the Rserve Challege Certificate at the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Scotland Champ show in Nov.

Puppies news the Jengachenga C litter have flown the nest with the exception of the mad Jengachenga's Cookie Girl, our unique addition to the clan.

Sani's babes are growing well, his children in the showring are winning well including Best Puppy in Breed at South Wales Kennel Club Champ Show and Best Puppy in Show at Southern Rhodesian Ridgeback Association open show.

The success of 2010 just gets even better, today Jengachenga Bold As Brass for Imanje JW (Sifa) was awarded the Carruthers Cup, Midas Memorial Trophy and Jay Trophy (for gaining the most points at all championship shows, breed club shows and general open shows). And to top it off Jengachenga By Design(Nugget) is the first livernose to be awarded the Scottish Rhodesian Ridgeback Award, the same trophy won by his mum in 2006! We are so delighted!!

The Jengachenga Kennel is proud to announce that Jengachenga By Design (Nuggy Noo) is the first livernose dog ever to be awarded the Best Puppy Dog of the Year Plaque and the first livernose in the breed to be awarded the Karebu Shield for Top Puppy by the Midlands & Northern Rhodesian Ridgeback Club. We would like to thank all the judges of 2010 who have thought so highly of our wonderful boy.

quality male who is balanced in profile with good angulations, pleasing typy head & expression which I liked, strong sound, true front with correct pasterns & good tight elbows, powerfully constructed all through, handsome appearance both standing & on the move

I love the outline of this girl. Lovely head plains, beautiful feminine expression. Gorgeous neck into well laid back shoulder. Strong topline with superb croup and tailset. Nice strong hindquarters. Very loose in front in movement, which cost her the win of this class. Elegant overall and has an effortless, ground covering sidegait.
